NEW! Introducing Wendy Tuxill©

Wendy is an artist and researcher working toward her PHD at the University of Hertfordshire

These drawings use speculative processes, which include pouring, trailing, dripping liquid porcelain onto prepared surfaces prior to high firing in a kiln. Chance, shrinkeage, and fracturing push the material to its limits. In this series of two and three dimensional sculptural porcelain drawings, ideas take form during the process of creating the work. The expressive qualities of liquid porcelain are explored through gestural, calligraphic marks and doodles.
